ACME

is a carpentry and craft company located in Paris. The atelier is proud to have a team of dedicated artisan woodworkers who are passionate about their craft. The team members are skilled in a wide range of carpentry techniques, who work with natural and robust materials.

Julian Renaud, founder of the atelier, reached out to Aida Bedran, graphic designer, to create ACMEs brand identity and website. While creating the brand identity for ACME, Aida wanted to emphasise on 2 different wood characteristics: the rigid and firm aspect, as well as its natural, organic and versatile aspect.

The letter M in the ACME logo is a unique design that sets it apart from the other letters. The square shape with sharp angles gives the letter a strong, architectural feel, which is fitting for a carpentry company that specializes in creating custom-made, high-quality wood products. ACMEs signature being Mobilier + Mesure, is another reason why Aida chose the M as the brands emblem.

In contrast, the other letters in the logo are round and organic, evoking the natural beauty of wood. This contrast between the sharp square M and the circular other letters creates a visual tension that adds interest and complexity to the logo design. To reflect the quality and craftsmanship of ACME's products, the companys brand's color scheme is warm and inviting, with a focus on natural, earthy tones that evoke the beauty and durability of wood.

Overall, the designer aimed to create a timeless design that would continue to be relevant and effective for many years to come. To achieve this, Aida focused on using simple, modern elements that would not be easily dated or out of fashion.
