estudio pánico designed Astro - a conceptual Album by Mateo Kingman, a singer-songwriter of ecuadorian amazonian music that fuses traditional Latin American sounds with hip-hop, rock, and pop. This album is about a journey to the universe within, into self-discovery and transformation. Mateo visualized each song as a point in this journey. Each of these points were meant to be represented as stellar bodies, with a size and distance.
The visual representation of the journey took the form of a solar system, Mateo as the main star, the center, and beginning. The designers created a planet for every song, the illustrations were inspired in astrological maps and scientific charts from the eighteen century, reaching somewhere between science and spirituality.
