Founded in 2015, Baske is a line of women’s footwear that is inspired by the relaxed spirt of California, authentic craftsmanship and a wanderlust for travel. Founders David Sumares and Nana Baek enlisted Heavy Atelier Studio to develop the initial brand identity and packaging design for their elegant line of shoes. In addition the studio conceptualized the brand name for the company to fully encompass the founders love of California.
created an elegant logo and brand identity package that captured the color palette of an iconic California sunset. The addition of a passport inspired emboss throughout the branding system reflected the founders love for travel and adventure. It was often on these trips that inspiration would be found for new collections, so the first campaign imagery incorporated a series of diptychs of environmental photographs taken along the Pacific Coast Highway with beautiful product photographs of the premier Baske collection.
