Design & Practice designed the Brand identity for Atelier Elliott - an interdisciplinary creative consultancy that connects architecture, design, identity and strategy to create emotionally meaningful experiences across a diverse range of project types and scales. The studio unites diverse thinking, methodologies and professional practices under a singular “family” name.
Its identity, designed by Amsterdam based agency Design & Practice, is a minimalist canvas that can grow and evolve around its client projects, keeping a consistent subtle voice that never overpowers.
The flexible identity allows the studio's branding to make space for content, such as photography of finished projects, client details or written messages. The logo is an adaptation of Post Grotesk. For the project Design & Practice worked with its designer Josh Finklea and Sharp Type to develop a custom version of the typeface to work alongside the logotype.
To reflect the meticulous attention to detail of Atelier Elliott, we worked with Dutch print house Douma to achieve complex detailing and great finishing quality in an unorthodox material application. Three layers of laminated tyvek were blind embossed to create a translucent square, with a sculpted embossed hot foil applied on top.
Along with the print and as a part of the branding Design & Practice have created the website of Atelier Elliott.
