This beautiful illustration project was done by Marta Cerdà, an Amsterdam-based designer, for Castellers de Vilafranca, a human tower/sports association in Spain.
Marta says: "It's been such a pleasure to collaborate with the 70 anniversary of Castellers de Vilafranca, the best human tower team of all times, from my hometown. I usually talk about them in my talks so some of you who live abroad and met me already know what they mean to me. Human towers talk about the power of the will, about how unity and teamwork make us better human beings, and about how having faith in the impossible helps to make things finally possible. The poster is an optical illusion and uses a visual paradox. It's a juxtaposition of two contradictory elements, the gravity against the power of the will. It's also a pattern, so you can get an army of feet and hands."
