Contemporary Living in ruined building

This non-traditional project is masterpiece of Spanish estudio castillo oli, which has renovated a old ruined building to stunning contemporary living space named La ruina habitada. It is located in the northern Spain, in the countryside. The architect Castillo Oli want to express relationship between new and old and keep the original idea of this outstanding place and offer to the client "living within the ruin". Materials was also adjust to the condition and origin of this building, so architect used timber, steel, glass, and ceramic tile to preserve authentic atmosphere of this place and give it a "new life".
