Nowadays, we're all used to reading the news, articles, and books online. Communication has shifted to digital. Beyond that, it is good to unplug and rest our sight. And go back to the origin: paper. Even though we know the perks and the infinite possibilities of digital platforms, significant advances in technology also improved the printing industry. As we promised earlier this week, we're showcasing another editorial design project: Artists on Artists Et al Vol.2.

This time, we're presenting a book cover design featuring an elastic band to avoiding pages to wrinkle. Plus, it gives a modern and stylish imprint. The creative minds behind this project are from THINGS I DID Studio. The book's cover has behind the editorial and graphic design and art direction. One of 2021 most popular trends involves color gradients. And today's post is no exception for it, featuring a vibrant linear red fading out white. Thanks to printing technological advances, we can perceive its high-quality gradient as it would look on digital. Here's where the elastic band plays a key role. When removed, a white-negative space shows up with the design's main symbol: an arrow. This figure is used all over the book as the common thread. All in all, a super contemporary and readable layout :)
