BEOM's latest project celebrates the positive health benefits of traditional Finnish Sauna for an upcoming coffee table book for Finnmark Sauna. The hand-drawn illustrations channel the natural and sustained materials used to create the beautiful saunas designed and built by Finnmark.
Although Saunas exist around the world, it is in Finland that they have become entwined in the national culture and so closely associated with wellness. The final series for the book illustrates calm and tranquil outdoor scenes with a cool and muted colour palette rich with textures to mimic the organic materials involved in the process.
From the social aspect of the Sauna experience to the exhilaration of bathing in the great outdoors, BEOM aimed to capture the positivity and tranquility this activity cultivates
