In the dynamic realm of food brand identity systems, Flings emerges as a testament to start-up innovation and nostalgic rejuvenation. Conceived by the visionary minds of food entrepreneurs Dino Vassiliou and Benjamin Outmezguine, Flings redefines the toaster pasty snack as a healthier adult treat, offering three gluten-free and keto-friendly flavors without artificial colors.

Blurr Bureau partnered with Flings to create a brand steeped in nostalgia, aiming to evoke childlike joy. This comprehensive project spanned market research, brand strategy, visual identity, nomenclature, tone of voice, packaging, motion design, UI/UX design, art direction, and the orchestration of social media and marketing campaigns.

Blurr's synthesis of visual and verbal storytelling deftly addresses both the nutritional and emotional cravings of adult snack enthusiasts. The brand's touch points act as portals, transporting individuals to a digital era, where flavor triumphed and friendships were measured by trading snacks in the playground. From a playful tone of voice, to a vibrant color palette that is easily spotted on the shelves, all aspects of design were carefully considered.

From a design perspective, our team embraced the challenge of encapsulating key emotionsnostalgia, childlike positivity, and unadulterated enjoyment. In particular, the classic toaster pastry, a symbol of an era dominated by the baby-boomer generation, served as both muse and challenge. Balancing whimsy and charm, the brand language resonates with discerning, health-conscious consumers who meticulously evaluate food packaging, while remaining lighthearted and joyful. Because snacking shouldnt be so serious. Flings, through its curated journey of taste and design, invites consumers to savor not only the product but the cherished memories it embodiesa unique testament to the harmonious blend of innovation, creativity, and a nod to the past.
