Over everyone’s head but unbeknownst to most, a small garden sits atop the renowned Fortnum & Mason building in Piccadilly. Find your way there, and you will discover a carefully curated selection of herbs and plants, among the famous apiaries. Inspired by this sky-high allotment and the classic kitchen garden, Fortnum & Mason created a bath and body range with a bright, herbaceous fragrance, invigorating the heritage brand with a breath of fresh air.

Featuring everything from luxury hand creams and body lotions to scented candles, the range is made locally in Fortnum’s Apothecary Garden in Somerset. Each product is blooming with botanicals and infused with soothing fragrances that capture the beauty of the English Garden all year round. To bring the verdant range to life and create distinct products that appeal to a broader audience, Fortnum’s partnered with natural perfumer Richard Howard and London-based design agency Here.

In keeping with the crisp, modern scents of the range, Here took a fresh approach to Fortnum's famed design. A mix of bright, contemporary colours harmonise with undertones of the brand’s signature Eau de Nil colour, ensuring the collection remains unmistakably Fortnum while also appealing to a younger audience.

Playing on the idea that a garden is like an orchestra, Here paired this harmonious colour palette with rhythmic product descriptions and a lyrical name, Garden Song. Working closely with illustrator Mia Carameros, Here carefully applied botanical sketches across each product to let the range truly flourish. The illustrations are also engraved and picked out in gold leaf onto the ceramic candles for a little added luxury.
