The paperback pulp romance birthed in the 1930s, but arguably at its height during the middle of the centuryexists at a unique intersection of smut and chastity. How to Live on Love dives into the peculiar and unexplored typography of the romance and erotic paperback genre. This 32-page, hand-bound, diecut-covered, riso-printed compendium features an essay on the history and design of romance novels, as well as a wide assortment of lettering samples pulled from erotic pulp covers spanning 1950-1980.
