Today, at 5 o'clock, you're all invited to have some tea and celebrate that colder weather is approaching to enjoy this thousand of years old beverage. Originally from China, tea has expanded worldwide. And everywhere, new traditions and flavors around it have been born. On this occasion, we're showcasing Indung, an Indonesian tea brand whose packaging design is from The 1984 creative studio.
Born in West Java, Indung is an artisanal tea brand. Its target market is affluent Indonesian people who prefer brands that look authentic and aspiring, so the identity must appear low-key and unpretentious. So, the approach had to be something friendly yet eye-catchy. Authenticity is something we have always valued in Mindsparkle Mag. And we're excited to see more brands do the same. Indung's identity is characterized by collage visuals of tea plucker in black and white, emphasizing the idea of an artisanal product. The fact of showing the workers on the packaging also gives an honest voice to the brand. Plus, the studio in charge combines all this with a color palette inspired by the Sundanese traditional batik palette and some organic figures filled with natural textures. This ancient technique was born in the 12th century, and it's applied in cloth.
The overall design for Indung's packaging is more than stunning, and it carries a sincere message to its audience. The 1984 design studio gave the brand a friendlier approach and a modern and vibrant visual identity, we're fascinated by its colorful design. We hope some chilly winds reach your city so you can enjoy this work with a glorious cup of tea :)
