Kolekto hand selects jewelry from independent designers around the globe. They craft their pieces in small batches, often with one-of-a-kind stones.
Kolekto means collection in Esperanto, a language designed to bring many cultures together. So, the mission of this project is not only to promote the jewelry lines and celebrate their craftsmanship but also to emphasize connecting those independent designers across the world. This challenged Boyang Xia, who delivers an elegant identity. Without sacrificing the quirky attitude of the artists from different cultural backgrounds. The brand takes on some sparing annotations together with a handcrafted logotype, as it reflects the brand's sensibility: feminine but not girly, elegant yet approachable. Also, stamps became the signifier for the sense of global artisanship. They're not only used as a subtle motif but are also used as the organizing principle of the brand.
The results are a celebration of all these crafts. A feminine but not girly, elegant but approachable brand.
