Today we're taking you to mi Buenos Aires querido, which translates to my beloving Buenos Aires. This design post is about lines that will represent an architecture studio called Linea. This team of versatile architects works on projects of different scales and is always in constant motion. The studio involved with Linea's branding is called Un Barco, also based in Argentina.
Tomás and Josefina, the head of Un Barco studio, are deeply passionate about design and visuals. For Linea's identity, they came up with a lined-up concept. Architects are well-known for being super structured, even though their final work is an organic building. Almost every existing and recognized curve depends on a background grid for its construction. And so does Linea's branding. To represent Linea's versatile studio, Un Barco thought of placing shapes in multiple organized grids and varying their positions. To do so, they asked for Juan Lage's animation skills. It pursues the impulse, the simplicity, and the experimentation like the studio does. Its minimal black and white aesthetic feature thin lines, giving the identity a subtle and elegant look.
All in all, the work Un Barco did is simple yet elegant and profoundly justified by guiding grids. Nowadays, the minimalist style is something characteristic of the architectural environment. The use of geometric figures and their combination is the base to create new, bolder designs as Linea does. We hope you're as excited as we are about this branding project. What are you waiting for?
