Manifesto Branding

Manifesto is a Calabrese Roasting House created by the Gangemi brothers, bringing their passion for coffee and their Calabrian roots to their present home in Yucatan, Mexico. Their new brand identity was created by creative studio, Bienal Comunicación, also from Yucatan.

The branding is strongly shaped by influences from Calabria - a colour palette of white and vibrant blue brings to mind the cliffs and the color of the Mediterranean sea.

Nautical stripes also feature strongly in both their interior and advertising. According to Manifesto, nautical flags hanging on the wall are intended to represent each of the letters of ‘Manifesto’ and can be found in all their graphic communication.

The collateral design in its packaging, labels and business cards is minimal and clean, whereas the advertising graphics are more vibrant and evidently reflect an appreciation for Mexican heritage. Black and white vintage photographic visuals emit a nostalgic feel for the past and for traditional Mexican culture, and are juxtaposed with a modern aesthetic created by a bright blue accent and a monochrome stripe pattern.

Manifesto says, ‘Honesty and passion in this crossroads of origins and destinations, is what makes this house a unique mix.’
