Marigold is a contemporary surf & turf restaurant offering traditional American dishes with a modern twist. Opening in the heart of Las Vegas, Marigold harkens back to the city’s mid-century modern golden age in a celebration of the most colorful flavors, culture, and history. The creative minds behind the brand's identity belong to Saint-Urbain.
Owned and operated by a Las Vegas family who has been in the hospitality business since the city’s inception, Marigold required Saint-Urbain's help. The studio tasks were to create a modern, wholesome, and unpretentious brand that conveys authenticity and quality through design for their restaurant Marigold and to-go area: Goldie’s. "A dash of Palm Springs, a smidge of mid-century modern design, and a boatload of lobster dishes make up Marigold, the retro-inspired restaurant with classic American staples.” - Eater Las Vegas. With a cinematographic appeal, creatives work their way to design a complete and beautiful concept. The restaurant's new branding features an exquisite color palette with a perfect contrast among hues. Plus, the yellow-sepia tone complements the mid-century look. Moreover, the tall sans serif and the handwritten fonts play a key role in each identity for both restaurants. Both designs are linked thanks to the polished color palette Saint-Urbain has created.
All in all, the brand's identity has an authentic mystic worth being on the big screen. It perfectly matches all the history the restaurants have in Las Vegas.
