Mortar & Brick Identity

Mortar & Brick is a property consultancy with a high degree of experience. Founder and Director Laura Barrell have built a business that offers property investors security and peace of mind based on ethics and integrity. And she asked Hugmun studio to work on the brand's visual identity to have better recognition and communication. 

Creatives centered on Mortar & Brick's values, like integrity, quality, and efficiency when choosing minimalistic but solid typography for the brand. Hugmun studio created a custom, hand-drawn ampersand sign to convey the creative and feminine part, which flows out of the rigid grids of the logotype. The combination of both elements gives a trustworthy and kind of personal service. The logo is powerful but also flexible. Designers created three options for using it. The idea is to provide a wide range of possibilities when using it across varied brand elements. The brand color palette uses two neutral tones and a reddish accent, which gives the branding an electric boost. Black and beige is a color combo that it's never wrong and is a fashion classic too. These colors are a combination of clayey and vivid. The soft beige provides calm and seriousness. Plus, it feels like home with a soothing vibe we are used to from interior design. Also, the beige and red remind us of the mortar and brick together in an abstract manner.
