The form follows the function. Every architecture, designer, creative professional, or student has an internal link to this quote that redirects to the Bauhaus school of design led by Walter Gropius. What a legacy that's still alive these days! This institution is the mother of popular disciplines like graphic and interior design.
For today's post, we're showcasing The new architecture and Bauhaus editorial design created by Mak Kaihang, Antiny Wu Yanting, and Sandu Publishing
In this book, Gropius, a leader in Modern Architecture, clarified the new architectural concept of pursuing standardization and process and vigorously advocated the development of modern design education. He proposed formulating two teaching modes of practical teaching and formal teaching for Bauhaus students. It consisted of teaching them the use of tools, the properties of materials, the theory of design expression, the knowledge of art and science, and even the knowledge of finance to provide students with good all-around training from hand to eye.
