One of the biggest obstacles for non-profitable brands is getting noticed. Overflow's recent rebrand with Brooklyn-based design & tech agency Alright Studio illustrates the fundamental role that good design can play in amplifying important cause's reach and impact. Also, with making complicated ideas seem more accessible to all.
Overflow is betting that their fresh design and approachable voice will set them apart in the non-profitable space and inspire a new generation of philanthropists who have been donating more in the past year than ever before. From the start, Overflow knew that if they were going to serve the non-profit space, they had to be intentional about their investment in design—because they know that good design is a form of communication in itself. Alright Studio has a track record for creating stunning, compelling brands across a category agnostic range of industries, from food to CPG to mission-driven financial game-changers, like Valia Ventures, RDCL, and now, Overflow. This design features a vibrant salmon color palette and includes a clean off-white typography choice. The brand's new identity comes up with a modern style for its launch. Also, creatives thought of a fun pattern made out of extruding a circle and rotating it. It adapts nicely to both printed and digital platforms. With Overflow, they created a brand that is both approachable and genuine while also being visionary to help founder Vance Roush breathe new life into space: non-profits. Designers, brand professionals, and investors largely underlooked those spaces until now.
