Paintwaves Wallpapers is a vibrant series of renderings created by Ari Weinkle from Boston. The organic 3D waves are essentially 'blobs of paint – layered, curled and twisted'. Weinkle's surreal creations appear to capture strokes of stunningly bright paint in motion. Weinkle says, 'through the process of fragmenting different entities, I am continually searching for new and unique juxtapositions between shapes, colors, and patterns. My work is mostly experimental, often digital, and usually weird. My inspiration comes from a wide range of sources; I have been particularly affected by Japanese aesthetics, abstract painting, surrealism, and philosophy. I attempt to draw on both visual and non-visual sources throughout my work.'
