Stitch Design Co. designed the branding for Parcel 32 - a restaurant and cocktail bar housed in a historic 1837 home on King Street in Charleston, South Carolina.
The Parcel 32 name references the original city block from an 1888 Sanborn Map of Charleston. The railroad also had a presence on Block 32 during that time. Map and railroad visuals served as inspiration throughout the branded elements.
The location itself had such a storied past. To honor this, we blended history with a present day sensibility.
They combined simplistic, modern illustrations with historic imagery and classic typography to create a layered aesthetic. The result was an experience that felt established, yet fresh.
Stitch Design Co. also created a series of submarks and iconography that was an interpretation of the tickets and other railroad ephemera.
