Szczera Sfera, or Honest Space in English, is Poland's first non-profit educational project focused on eating disorders and people's complex relationships with food. Promoting self-care and raising awareness of various mental issues connected to eating, the project challenges our social obsession with flawless looks and perfect weight. Rooted in honesty, genuine stories, and expert knowledge, this online educational platform supports teenagers and their relatives in coping with painful, isolating disorders.
Using thoughtful visual language and engaging communication, TINGE Studio tries to reach a young audience, who are most exposed to unrealistic messages broadcasted by the media. The educational approach and thoughtful questions encourage dialogue with the initiative's Instagram followers, who are often directed toward the in-depth specialist articles published on the project's website.
The project's visual identity incorporates a vivid blue shade that is not to be found in any food item and has been said to curb appetite. The logo, which employs sharp lines, conveys the problematic relationship with food by depicting a twisted fork. Deliberate, hand-drawn forms and outlines are used in the illustration style opposite stands perfect geometrical shapes.
As the concept grew larger and larger, an outdoor campaign has been launched, with ads placed in shop windows, POIs, cafes, and restaurants in some of Poland's largest urban areas. With a deliberate combination of philosophical questions and carefully designed illustrations, the outdoor venture reflects one's relationship with food.
