The Egg Series

The Egg by Nidia Dias is a unique collection of six posters inspired by eggs in different ways. Each poster is creatively centred around a theme related to eggs, while others recreate a particular artistic style using eggs as the main focus.

The first poster was inspired by Dali's surreal piece, 'The Persistence of Memory', but instead of the clocks Dias uses a fried egg in which the yolk simulates the clock pointers.

In the second poster the idea is to play with the idea of weights and how fragile an egg is and how carefully one should handle it.

The third poster comes as a fun take on kitchen timers that are typically egg-shaped. Here, the egg timer is depicted as an imposter in its own 'house'.

In the fourth poster Dias sought to explore a typical dish associated with eggs while playing with its name, in particular the 'Royale', adding a crown to the egg and adding gold liquid in place of the sauce. Also inspired by dishes and recipes, the fifth poster is a play on the way to make pasta (using eggs and flour) and as well as creating it to look like an erupting volcano.

The final sixth poster, titled 'EggXception'  depicts a pattern made of eggs in which one egg stands out as being different, therefore being an exception.
