Creative studio illo.tv plays with abstract elements with a realistic touch in the latest series of 3D videos created for Walliances international campaign.

Urban landscapes get the 3D treatment for a brand awareness and lead generation campaign designed by the Italian studio. Mixing multiple elements with abstraction and realism, the videos manage to create a bridge between real-life urban elements and minimalistic, geometric representations.

Illo helped create the latest international video campaign for Walliance with an ample audience in mind, spanning from Italy, to Spain or France and featuring plenty of reformats, cuts and digital outlets.

The creative studio worked with multiple elements, timeframes and messaging, while staying true to the brand and keeping a visual consistency with Walliances style of communication. One of the main challenges was to represent very complex environments, like different geographic areas or real estate projects, in a simple, minimalistic and versatile way. Colours also played an important role, with the studio opting for a warmer, less saturated version of the brands usual go-to colours, to create a more neutral and inviting environment throughout the campaign.

The animation worked to strike a balance between abstraction and realism, representing the economic aspect of the platforms benefits, as well as the real-life applications. The studio took inspiration from the futuristic works of Italian artist Boccioni, to imagine and build an imaginary city, where everything is possible and growth is constant. The focus fell on tangible, relatable 3D materials, coming from the real estate world: construction materials such as cement, glass, wood and plastic make up the exciting world illo envisioned for Walliance.

llo is a design studio with a focus on motion design, illustration and art direction. Led by the creative duo Ilenia Notarangelo and Luca Gonnelli, the studio aims for a minimal and colorful aesthetic - and clear storytelling. In recent years, they launched their sister studio algo.tv, focused on data visualization and video automation. With an international team of 22, illo has worked for both innovative startups and big brands like Google, Facebook, Apple, Bloomberg, Snapchat and many more.
