Aspen One is the largest player in skiing and hospitality industry in the Aspen, Colorado region, with a deep 75 year history. The company owns and operates four mountains (Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Snowmass, Buttermilk), two hotels (Little Nell and Limelight), AspenX, and a range of other activities. Following a major rebrand, View Source studio's mission is to redesign and develop the corporate site to encapsulate the company's history, initiatives, and varied properties. The challenge is to design a site that maintains a balance between corporate professionalism and a playful spirit. To achieve this, View Source, the designers behind the project have chosen to incorporate interactions in small but crucial areas, referred to as "micro-interactions." The advantage of these micro-interactions is that they can make a user interface feel more human and less mechanical.
