Lighthouse Furnishing Accessories

‘Lighthouse’ is a series of furnishing accessories created by designers Massimo Colonna and Martina Malventi. Colonna and Malventi created a series of objects inspired by lighthouses which focus on the concept of ‘transforming architecture’, involving the past and present.

Different elements such vases, lamps, mirrors, lids and containers are combined to create cylindrical shapes and flat disks that form the structure of a lighthouse. These structures are placed in the context of the seaside, with blue shadows and reflections that emulate the movement of waves, wind and light.

This project was submitted for a competition held by Cerasarda, an Italian ceramics manufacturer celebrating Mediterranean craftsmanship. The competition focused on the design of furnishing accessories, inspired by lighthouses.
