Thomas Lawson is a renowned name in the art industry. A prolific artist with a career spanning from 1975 till date, invested in painting and writing, along with acting as the Dean of the School of Art at California Institute of the Arts from 1991 to 2022. I had the great opportunity to design his personal website. Documenting such a monumental career on a website was a great challenge. The design of the website and the typography draws heavily from how typography operates and how images sit in a physical art gallery setting. I wanted to ensure that the site was simple and clean. The work was the main focus of the website, with the typography and muted colour palette providing a consistent backdrop to tie it all together into one cohesive brand.
